A customer visited our booth at the TCEQ trade-show with a somewhat amusing (and somewhat unfortunate) story. The customer’s facility is located in NJ where there is a 2 inch PetroXtractor retrieving #6 crude oil. They run the PetroXtractor twice a day on a battery during the process. The company houses the PetroXtractor in our Discrete Security Groundwater Remediation System and the customer told us at our booth that the skimmer (which is the only thing on the property that is enclosed) is the only thing that hasn’t been stolen! Our secured enclosures are used in situations where there is a need to keep the oil skimmer from being tampered with or in situations where the operation of oil removal equipment may be deemed unsightly. These lockable poly shelters are available in two sizes to accommodate various oil skimmer sizes and option configurations. A 30- or 55-gallon drum can be used for oil collection depending on the size of the enclosure chosen.

The Abanaki PetroXtractor is a dependable and cost effective means of removing oil, fuel, and other floating hydrocarbons from water where access to the fluid surface is limited. It acts efficiently as remediation equipment for groundwater contaminated by oil, using existing recovery and monitoring wells. Often, the PetroXtractor Well Oil Skimmer working alone will reduce oil or fuel content to an acceptable E.P.A. level. Models are available for two inch, four inch, and six inch or larger ID well casings, with removal rates up to 12 gph. (based on SEA 30 motor oil). Depths of 100 feet or more can be accommodated without the use of pumps.
